The National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War. Memorial complex (hereinafter referred to as the Museum), to protect the confidentiality of its website users’ personal data, creates and ensures appropriate conditions for each user to use the website.
This Privacy Policy defines the procedure for the Museum to process personal data, the types of personal data collected, the purposes of their use, the Museum’s interaction with third parties, security measures to protect personal data, and the conditions for access to personal data.
Collection and Processing of Personal Data
The Museum is the administrator of the personal data of the website users.
When a user uses the website services, the Museum processes the user’s data, namely
- data provided by the user both when filling out registration forms and in the process of using services;

- IP address;
- parameters and settings of Internet browsers (User-agent).
The Museum will only collect your personal data, such as your name, surname, login, password, email address, contact phone number, date of birth, gender, etc., which you knowingly and voluntarily provide as a personal data subject for using the website services. When you visit the site, all logins to the system are recorded. No other information about user traffic is processed or stored.
The Museum is not authorized to collect any information subject to specific legal requirements for processing. According to Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection.”
The Museum collects website visit statistics data, including information about connection, traffic, user’s browser, date, time, duration of work on the Internet, and stay on the site.
The personal data you provide is processed and stored in data centers that host the equipment responsible for the website’s services. It may be stored in a dedicated database or a separate database table on the website.
Purposes of Collecting Personal Data
The Museum collects personal information for several reasons, which include maintaining and improving its services, providing necessary products and services, processing transactions, and sending related information. The Museum may only store your data if it is necessary for processing or required by Ukrainian law.

The dissemination of personal data without the consent of the individual data subject or their authorized person is only allowed in cases specified by law and solely for national security, economic well-being, and human rights when necessary.
Rights and Personal Data Subject
The Museum would like to inform you that as a subject of personal data, you have certain rights under the Law of Ukraine, "On Personal Data Protection." These rights include the following:
- 1. to know about the sources from which your data was collected, where it is stored, the purpose for which it is being processed, and the location of the owner or manager of the personal data. You can request this information from authorized people, except in cases where the law prohibits disclosing such information;
- 2. to receive information on the conditions for granting access to personal data, including information about third parties to whom your data is transferred;
- 3. to access your data;
- 4. to ensure that you receive a response regarding processing your data by 30 calendar days from receipt of the request, except as provided by law. Additionally, you have the right to receive the content of such personal data;
- 5. to submit a reasoned request to the personal data controller with an objection to the processing of your data;
- 6. to submit a reasoned request to change or destroy your data by any owner or manager of personal data if such data is processed illegally or is unreliable;
- 7. to protect your data from unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction, or damage due to intentional concealment, failure to provide, or untimely provision, as well as to protect against the provision of information that is inaccurate or discrediting the honor, dignity, and business reputation of an individual;
- 8. to file a complaint against the processing of your data to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or to the court;
- 9. to apply legal remedies in case of violation of the legislation on personal data protection;
- 10. to make reservations regarding the restriction of the right to process your data when providing consent;
- 11. to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data;
- 12. to know the mechanism of automatic processing of personal data;
- 13. to be protected against an automated decision that has legal consequences.
Amendments to the Policy
The Museum reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time without prior notice to the user, including in the event of changes in legal requirements.
If there are significant changes to this Policy, the Museum will post a notice on the website indicating when these changes will be enforced.
If you do not refuse to accept them in writing within the specified period, you agree to the relevant changes to the Policy. We recommend priodically reviewing the Policy to stay informed of any changes or additions.
