Collection

The museum houses over 413,000 items related to wars and armed conflicts of the 20th and 21st centuries on Ukrainian territory and involving Ukrainians. The museum's collection includes uniforms and insignia from the First and Second World Wars and the post-war period, the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, and the large-scale invasion by Russian aggressors, as well as civilian clothing and household items reflecting family stories of these past and present armed conflicts.

The collection of weapons and military equipment includes items from both World Wars, the Afghan War, and artifacts from the early modern period that were also used in the 20th century.

The archive holds thousands of original photographs, artworks, and documents referencing the establishment of Soviet dictatorship and Nazi occupation of Ukrainian lands.
