"#ZaliznaZmina" visited the War Museum!

Children at the Museum / 22 October 2024

On October 22, 2024, the participants of the unique educational and sports project "#ZaliznaZmina" created by JSC Ukrzaliznytsia visited the War Museum. Children and teenagers, residents of different regions, and young Ukrainians with different personal stories explored exhibitions that reflect the stages of our people’s armed struggle.

The excursion program began with the exhibition "...beyond the borders of our native land". The guests discovered new pages of history, saw authentic archival documents, maps, traditional clothes of Sloboda Ukraine, and much more.

The tour of the permanent exhibition, which focused on Ukraine and Ukrainians during the Second World War, deeply impressed the boys and girls. Extraordinary personal stories of both combatants and civilians, along with incredible facts and unique exhibits, left everyone feeling moved.

"Ukraine—Crucifixion," an exhibition about the ongoing russian-Ukrainian war, emphasizes that the century-long struggle for Ukrainian independence continues and highlights that our strength lies in unity.

Thanks to the exhibition "Sign on the Shield," our young visitors learned about the Trident’s thousand-year history, its emergence as the State Emblem of Ukraine, and its significance to Ukrainians as more than a national symbol. Both the guests and museum staff will remember this memorable day.

We thank JSC Ukrzaliznytsia for this vital project and their interest in our Museum. Together, we are raising a new generation of Ukrainians!
