Recently, a working meeting was held between the Director General the War Museum Yurii Savchuk and the Director General and Artistic Director of Mykola Kulish Kherson Regional Academic Theatre Oleksandr Knyha.
The gifts for our stock collection from Mr. Knyha were extremely pleasant surprise – souvenirs cards from Kherson and… “Voodoo doll”.
A pincushion in the form of stylized Putin was a prop in one-man show “Thou shall get, my foe, By the Witch’s word” about the life of Kherson people during the Russian occupation, which the theater members presented throughout the country. They created the played based on their own life experience. Searches, detentions, looting of the theater by invaders… The stage artists found the strength not only to survive all that, but also to show it in unique form of dramedy – a performance combining drama and comedy.
We are sincerely grateful to Mr. Knyha for the visit and gifts. We look forward to implement future joint projects!
