Martyrology “Children…” in Kaunas, Lithuania

Exhibitions and presentations / Our partners / 9 November 2024

In the IX Fort Museum in Kaunas, Lithuania, the War Museum presented its multimedia project “Children…” – martyrology of young Ukrainians who were killed during Russian full-scaled aggression.

The exhibition was created by museum workers in 2022 and is hosted at one of the locations of Memorial complex. This project is testimony of the horrific crimes of the russian federation, which takes away the most precious one from us – our new generation.

Unfortunately, the exhibition is constantly supplemented with new names due to the actions of aggressor country.

The multimedia martyrology has attracted attention of not only Ukrainians but also international community for almost three years of its existence. Almost every foreign delegation comes to honor the memory of dead children during their visits to our country.

For the first time, the “Children...” project will function abroad as separate exhibition. That became possible thanks to cooperation with the IX fort Museum in the city of Kaunas and the support of the First Lady of Lithuania – Diana Nausėdienė.

Presentation of multimedia exhibition took place on November 7. The representative of the First Lady of Lithuania, the general director of War Museum Yurii Savchuk, exhibition curator Iryna Kotsabiuk, the director of Narva Museum (Estonia) Maria Smorzhevskihh-Smirnova, the main advisor to the President of the Republic of Lithuania Rimantas Mikaitis and many others were attended the event. All present honored the memory of the boys and the girls with a prayer.

The exhibition will last until February 2, 2025 in the IX Fort Museum. We thank all our partners, international community, those who cares for their support and the opportunity to tell the truth about the war in which Ukrainians have to fight for their present and future.
