The War Museum became a venue for a meeting of the city’s methodological section of teachers of social and humanities disciplines from vocational education institutions in Kyiv. During the session, participants discussed the formation of Ukrainian national and civic identity within the educational process, shared experiences in teaching social and humanities subjects, and presented modern approaches to fostering patriotism among students based on dignity and social responsibility.
As part of the session, Svitlana Datsenko, Head of the Educational Work Department, and Tetiana Romanenko, Leading Guide, presented War Museum projects aimed at historical education and, consequently, at shaping the value orientations of young people. Afterwards, Hanna Tarasenko, Senior Research Fellow, led participants on a guided tour of the Museum’s exhibitions. Educators explored artifacts, materials, and museum narratives that reveal the process of the formation of Ukrainian statehood and the struggle for independence.
We sincerely thank the educators for sharing their experience, fruitful cooperation, and joint efforts to strengthen Ukrainian national identity.
