"Drawing the War" at the Museum!

Museum Life / 19 December 2024

Bullet and shell casings used to achieve our Victory have become art objects. They were painted by students and teachers of the Kyiv Children’s Art School No. 7 as part of the artistic and volunteer initiative "Drawing the War" started by @Громадська приймальня Володимира Бондаренка (Public Reception of Volodymyr Bondarenko).

"Heroic Cities of Ukraine," "Motherland Monument," "Ukrainian Serpent Slayer," "Tree of Life in Children’s Palms," "Remembering Mariupol—Remembering Odesa" and other works were transferred to the collection of the War Museum.

The transfer took place in a symbolic space—the exhibition "Ukraine-Crucifixion." Parts of the Ivankiv Historical and Local History Museum, located in the Kyiv region and destroyed by the russians, are exhibited there, featuring the projection of the painting "Atomic War—Damn It" by artist Maria Prymachenko.
